《靜默。邊境族》Present Absentee 與《靜默邊境》Absent Presentee 刻意倒裝的英文劇名,透視了兩部曲的不同靈魂: 戰火下被噤聲掙扎存活著的族群 – Present Absentee; 關於美好日常下從缺於自己生命的個體 – Absent Presentee 小息跨媒介創作室的「邊境系列」始於2012年「亞洲劇力無邊界」中發表的短篇作品《邊境國》,以愛沙尼亞小說《邊境國》為創作跳板,以舞蹈形體大幅度介入文本,在邊界、國家權力、種族及文化身份的議題上持續鑽探。
